Simon Austin - Biog

On his 7th birthday Simon was given the opportunity to drive a Go Kart for the first time and even then, barely able to reach the pedals, he showed an aptitude and determination behind the wheel which continued all through his early days of racing.

He cut his racing teeth in National Karting where he was to enjoy some success and, as he grew in maturity and size the decision was taken for his career to continue in cars.

With encouragement from his parents and expert tuition from Ben Elliott Racing, Simon competed successfully in the 2007 Ginetta Junior Championship. Although this was only intended to be a "learning year", he ran very strongly and enjoyed a number of top 6 placings.

In 2008 Simon sets out to comptete for honours in the Ginetta Junior Championship and relishes the challenges that the high profile competition will set him.
